Bidirectional radio-controlled safety module

27 July 2018

The new radio-controlled Safemaster W series UH 6900 offers safety-oriented bidirectional transmission of E-stop and control functions plus, increased flexibility for safeguarding hazardous areas.

By implementing the latest radio technologies and a high degree of signal availability, a compact reliable safety system has been achieved. This enables two safety zones to be easily connected wirelessly to each other over a considerable distance.

The TÜV-Safety certified system for applications reaching up to PLe/Cat 4 or SIL 3, is characterised by its working range of 800m+ and the easy-to-use free windows-based software, offering extensive diagnostics, signal quality monitoring and remote system set up.

Typical applications are large ranging facilities in the logistics sector and mobile applications such as automatic guided transport vehicles, autonomous transport systems and hard to wire to applications in the quarrying and mining industry. The original bidirectional system has now been complemented by a 'one transmitter to many receiver option', which is well suited to the safety control demands of automated guided vehicles.
