According to R. A. Rodriguez,
slewing ring bearings are no longer
limited to large, heavy duty
applications and their versatility is
now boosting performance in
smaller designs as well.
The Kaydon slewing ring bearing range from R. A. Rodriguez starts at just 38mm bore diameter, 6.5mm thick. These smaller components are suitable for a range of applications, from inclusion in lightweight booms for material handling systems to positioning tables in the manufacture of optics and semiconductors.
Said to simplify design and enable cost-effective and hassle-free assembly, they are a suitable replacement for the traditional 'king post' design.
