Riley Surface World has been selected by Cobham Mission Equipment for a large decommissioning project at its Wimborne site. Cobham is a global supplier of aerospace and defence systems and well known for its air-to-air refuelling products.

Cobham appointed Riley to de-commission its surface finishing facility at Wimborne and to dispose of redundant plant and machinery. The project includes dismantling several metal finishing production lines and the safe disposal of chemicals used for electroplating and other processes.

CME spent £300,000 on the treatments facility in 2008 and this is reflected in the quality of the equipment for sale.

Riley Surface World is marketing the plant and machinery. There are production lines suitable for numerous electrolytic processes, including anodising, hard chrome and cadmium.

There are cleaning, heat treatment, wet paint and effluent treatment plants, a laboratory and ancillary equipment, making over 70 items in total. Details at: www.rileysurfaceworld.co.uk.
