Aviaservices, a specialist maintenance, repair and overhaul company approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency, has installed a self-contained Hodge Clemco blast-room with integral abrasive recovery and dust extraction systems.

The blast-room has been located in the wheel shop, which has the capability to maintain almost any type of wheel assembly on current aircraft.

The containerised blastroom has an ATEX-approved dust collector attached to the rear, providing a completely integrated unit that can be moved in a single operation if required. This design provides good access to the dust collector for maintenance and easy At Spirax Sarco's Engineered Systems Manufacturing unit in Cheltenham, Kemppi welding equipment plays a pivotal role in the fabrication of bespoke steam systems and heat exchanger systems. The facility has a large fabrication shop where flash steam and blowdown vessel components are prepared for welding.

The company has a number of Kemppi welding systems including two recently delivered FastMig disposal of waste media, while maintaining a blastroom floor area measuring 2.4m wide x 3.7m long.

The design allows reversepulse cartridges to be used on the dust collectors which, the company says, are more convenient and efficient than conventional dust bags.
