Based around abrasive grain technology, 3M Cubitron II 984F Abrasive Belts were introduced in 2010 at 36+ grade. The line-up has now been extended to include 60+ and 80+ grade products. The range now covers all applications for which conventional belts graded between 24 and 100 would have been used, based on its ability to combine the strength of a lower grade belt with the finish of a higher grade product.

Triangles of ceramic abrasive fracture as they wear, forming new, super-sharp points and edges which slice cleanly through metal. Service life, productivity and consistency are all said to be boosted.
