Division when it received an urgent
call from the Warton plant of BAE
Systems, where the British sector of
the 'Euro fighter' is manufactured.
The company had suffered a complete boiler house failure that threatened its scheduled production.
The boiler house provides High Pressure Hot Water that is crucial to the pressurised hot air units involved in final surface finishing processes.
The call came in the morning of 3rd June and by 14:00h the same day the Wellman Robey Boiler Hire manager was at a site meeting to assess requirements. Although not a was able to provide a trailerised 1.9kW HPHWboiler with separate pressurisation unit, 21,000L bunded oil tank and a generator.
Wellman Robey's engineers worked around the clock and the plant was operational by late evening on 7th June.
