GRP ladder platform for tank showers
09 April 2019
Hughes’ latest development is a GRP ladder platform for emergency tank showers that is designed to enable easy and safe access to the tank.

With emergency tank showers measuring more than3m high, inspecting the water tank is a tall order and raises issues concerning employee safety. Organising checks or maintenance requires hiring scaffolding which can be costly and time-consuming if an urgent inspection was necessary.
The GRP ladder platforms can be attached to all new tank shower orders or retrofitted to existing Hughes tank showers, with the option to mount at the left, right or rear of the shower, depending on your requirements.
At 1215mm high, the railing on the Hughes platform exceeds the HSE recommended 950mm for working platforms as well as the 1100mm stipulated in Building Regulations for guard rails.
Features:
- Increased safety for workers in the form of a permanent structure for working at height.
- Slip-resistance steps and caged ladder area offer added peace of mind, keeping workers safe during every step of the inspection and maintenance process.
- Manufactured in hi-visibility yellow GRP
- GRP offers improved corrosion resistance and longevity.
The Hughes GRP ladder platform is a one-off cost, problem free solution for tank access.
