Paul Savage, deputy chief welding instructor at a leading provider of services and technologies to power utilities has given his approval to the Phantom range, having put the helmets through extensive tests with MMA, TIG and MIG/MAG welding.
Savage said he found the Phantom XL to be light in weight, easy to adjust with the headband being a particularly comfortable fit. The 4 x light detection sensors provided variability for different working conditions from low amp intricate TIG welding through to high amp MIG/MAG wire use.
The front end protector is easy to change and offers good protection to the reactor sensor and lens with no trace of spatter being found on the lens.
