Installation of Sabien Technology's
M2G intelligent boiler load
optimisers at the HQ of the Institute
of Mechanical Engineers, has
reduced gas consumption for heating
and hot water by 17% - over and
above the savings achieved by the
BMS. This is equivalent to a
reduction in carbon emissions of 25t
per annum with payback of 2.7 years.
Brian Robinson, head of energy, said: "We have reduced carbon emissions by over 25% in the last two years. We initially asked Sabien to pilot the M2Gs and demonstrate the savings that would be achieved.
Following the success of the trial, units are now playing an important role in minimising our energy consumption. We were also very pleased with the support from Sabien."
