Green washrooms a reality

The Disposables UK Group is claiming a UK first for its Bay West hand towel and toilet tissue rolls, together with Eco-foam soap, following the award of the European Eco-label. The environmental criteria behind the distinctive 'flower' logo are tough and only products which are kindest to the environment, are entitled to carry it, says the company.

"Whilst recycled paper products and improved dispenser designs have gone some way towards creating a greener environment, this is still not enough for washrooms to be considered truly green," comments marketing manager, Emma Wood, who steered the products through the approval process.

"Being truly green is about using products that promote a healthy lifestyle, enhance the working environment and help sustain valuable natural resources. Customers can now look to Disposables UK for independently assessed hand towels, toilet tissue and soap cartridges that are genuinely green and add significant value to the workplace experience."
