Change of wiper delivers savings

Rotork/Flowco operates in any market across the globe where the flow of gases or liquids needs to be controlled. When the company decided to trial Northwood Hygiene Products' Resource Rag wipers, it wanted better performance than it achieved with the bags of mixed rags used previously.
Head engineer, Gary Morton, evaluated the wipers' performance. He noticed that with the well-designed dispenser they are more portable and more convenient to use. Technicians no longer risk cutting their hands on the sharps that were occasionally found amongst the cloth rags, and each wiper delivers the same performance every time.
Free from contaminants, Resource Rags have been found to be much more consistently absorbent than the mixed rags and they last longer because in many instances, they are much stronger.
The purchasing department has carried out its own costing and found that Resource Rags are some 15% cheaper when compared with the bags of rags they were buying and a box lasts longer.
Morton adds: "The rags we used previously were, in my opinion, D grade wipers. Resource Rag is A grade, no question. We won’t be going back.”
