Land Rover has taken delivery of a
modular canopy building at its
Solihull car plant to provide
protection from inclement weather
conditions for those responsible for
unloading goods and components.
Supplied by Spaciotempo UK, the canopy, is located adjacent to the assembly plant with a further structure providing an undercover link between the buildings ensuring that goods arrive clean and dry.
The 600m2 building has an eave height of 6m and a ridge height of 11m which provides ample space for large trucks to be comfortably unloaded. The frame is made from anodised aluminium and has snow and wind loading equivalent to permanent buildings.
Securely fixed to a hard standing area at the plant, the canopy was installed using a hard ground fixing system which negates the need for lengthy civils work.
