with bearings and lubrication specialist SKF to help deliver a turnkey solution for Expert Tooling of Tyne & Wear. The company needed help with developing a lubrication system for a piece of tooling to insert bushes into position on a car suspension subframe.
Previously the bushes had been lubricated manually before insertion; the company wanted to automate the process to boost efficiency and health and safety.
Brammer supplied a range of SKF pumps, nozzles and valves. These have enabled Expert Tooling to build systems incorporating a closed box into which each bush is inserted for automatic lubrication before loading into the subframe.
Phil Gazeley of Expert Tooling says: "The input from Brammer and SKF was vital in developing the basic design of the system which has been adapted to cope with bushes of different sizes and has brought major efficiencies to the end user."
