Tool manufacturer Sandvik
Coromant has installed black
Vynagrip matting with yellow
edging in its Cirencester
works.Manufactured by
Plastic Extruders, the matting
provides a safe and slip
resistant surface underfoot for
employees working in the
large production areas.
Vynagrip covers the factory floor, its yellow edging clearly delineating the safe walkway.
The matting was chosen because it can be loose laid and contours over rough and uneven floors, so it can be used where floor levels change, slope or cross thresholds. The matting is very hard wearing, can be easily rolled up to facilitate cleaning and helps combat standing fatigue over prolonged periods.
The matting's extra aggressive and deep etched surface, which is resistant to oil, acid and chemicals, achieves a high rating for slip resistant performance (R11, for surfaces with angle of incline between 19 and 27°) when tested to DIN 51130.
The open grid allows liquid spills and production waste to fall through, further reducing the risk of slipping.
