Strong line-up for biomass energy event

There is a high-profile speaker line up for IChemE's new Delivering Low Carbon Energy from Biomass event taking place on 2nd May in London, UK. The event, supported by the Institution's Energy Conversion Technology Special Interest Group, will focus on current and emerging technologies and cover legislation and government incentives.

There is a high-profile speaker line up for IChemE's new Delivering Low Carbon Energy from Biomass event taking place on 2nd May in London, UK. The event, supported by the Institution's Energy Conversion Technology Special Interest Group, will focus on current and emerging technologies and cover legislation and government incentives.

Speakers include: Katie Halter from the UK Department for Energy and Climate Change who will present an overview of biomassrelated policy; Lionel Clarke, global strategic programme manager at Shell Global Solutions and co-chair of the UK Synthetic Biology Leadership Council who will deliver a keynote speech on Shell Biofuels - Global Challenges and Opportunities; and Matthew White, head of energy at AB Sugar, who will discuss biofuels and biochemicals.

The event is aimed at anyone with an interest in green growth, low carbon energy supply, sustainable development and recycling.
