Noise exposure monitoring
21 August 2013
Designed by industry specialists for the measurement of human exposure to noise, Campbell Associates has announced the launch of soundBadge – a simple, compact and lightweight dosimeter to be worn by operatives in the workplace.

Noise levels are monitored on the clear LCD screen, and measurements can be downloaded to a PC via a mini USB connector. Data processing and accurate noise/time reports are easily generated using the supplied PC software, soundViewer.
The company also offers SoundEar, an illuminated traffic light system that automatically warns employees when hearing protection must be worn in line with action levels specified in the Noise at Work Regulations 2005. Alarms can be pre-set at 16 different levels.
