New dimensions added
14 February 2014
igus has added 14 new dimensions to its range of knife edge rollers, increasing conveyor design and planning flexibility.

Plastic knife edge rollers can be used wherever smooth, lubricant-free transfer of transported goods is desired onto downstream conveyors. Due to their compact design and relatively tight radii, they are often found in food production machines, bottling lines and packaging systems as well as in point-of-sale units in supermarkets.
The 14 new variants, which encompass a selection of different lengths and diameters, are made of igus plastic materials: iglidur P210 is extremely resistant to wear and characterised by low humidity consumption; FDA-compliant iglidur A180 for low to medium loads is suitable for high humidity applications that come into direct contact with foodstuff and suitable for temperatures to 90°C; and iglidur A350, which is blue for visibility within food manufacture, for medium to high loads and temperatures up to 180°C.
