One million CPC Periodic Training Hours
15 January 2014
To mark its achievement of one million Periodic Training Hours, the RTITB Master Driver CPC Consortium has awarded a commemorative plaque to Kuehne + Nagel Operations Training Manager, Robert Hollier, and Instructor, Robert Lord.
The landmark hour was uploaded by Lord, who delivered Safe & Economic Driving and Rural & Urban driving modules to six delegates in Newton Heath, Manchester. On discovering that he had uploaded the millionth hour, he said: "Having been involved in providing CPC for four years, since the outset of the programme with Kuehne + Nagel, I have seen how fundamental it has become to provide drivers with regular and updated training in key topics, to gain additional skills and knowledge. I am therefore delighted to receive this recognition for uploading the millionth hour of CPC training.”
Kuehne + Nagel was one of RTITB’s founder Consortium members, starting its Driver CPC delivery in February 2010. The success of uploading this landmark hour demonstrated their loyalty and commitment to both the Consortium and the importance of safety training within the working environment. On learning that his organisation had achieved this major landmark for the consortium, Robert Hollier, Kuehne + Nagel Operations Training Manager, commented: "I would like to congratulate Bob Lord on gaining this award, but at the same time, I would like to extend these congratulations to every CPC trainer within the business for the dedication that they have shown towards delivering high standards across our entire network. We look forward to continuing our relationship with RTITB, and to the next million hours.”
