The hot water system at the Gleneagles Hotel has been updated with the with the augmentation of two original 3000 litre storage tanks with a pair of Stokvis Econoplate Packaged Plate Heat Exchangers, providing 100% duty and standby, to boost performance.
Each of the Packaged Plate Heat Exchangers has a capacity of 1100kW, which is adequate to supply the hotels 200 guest bedrooms on their own at a flow rate of over 300 litres per minute.
Each was supplied and installed complete with a ‘Simplex’ Primary Pump, one Secondary Transfer Pump (Type UPS50-120FB), three-port fast acting, fully modulating control valve, volt free relay terminals (for a common alarm) and a full P.I.D. controller, all mounted and pre-wired on an epoxy coated steel chassis.
