Choice of service packages

13 February 2015

In recognition of the demands put on abrasive blasting equipment, Hodge Clemco has added three preventive maintenance packages to its Emergency and Health Check services.

HC already provides an emergency call-out service to deal with breakdowns and health and safety inspections. The three new packages, carried out by a nationwide team of specialist engineers, are designed to minimise breakdowns, taking account of the usage and importance of blasting equipment to different customers.

A Bronze package provides a single visit to service machines on a company’s premises. HC service staff carry out an inspection of the equipment, a full service and minor adjustments and provide a condition report and a quotation for any spare parts required.

With the Silver package customers can specify the number of visits they require each year and book them in advance, resulting in regular, professional maintenance that ensures equipment is working efficiently and with minimal risk of breakdowns.  Technical support is available free-of-charge during working hours as well as a discount on emergency call-out charges.  Flexible payment terms are available.

The Gold service includes an agreed number of visits based on Hodge Clemco’s assessment of use, the importance of fully functioning equipment to the business and the specific type of equipment being used. Any emergency call-outs are free-of-charge and prioritised, and flexible payment terms are again available.

Service manager Andy Peart said: "Abrasive blasting puts heavy demands on the equipment – that cannot be avoided.  Proper maintenance can make a big difference to the life of the equipment and its performance, resulting not just in fewer breakdowns but also higher output and better quality."
