Growth prompts new appointment

The appointment of Nick Neal follows significant growth in the company's Process & Utilities unit, which has added to its staff by 30% over the last 12 months. 

The growth has heralded the separation of Process & Utilities into two separate departments. 

Neal joins Lorien from Nestle (UK), where he worked initially as industrial services manager, and latterly as a project engineer (Utilities).

Lorien Engineering provides engineering design, project management and technical consulting services to customers in food, brewing, drinks manufacturing sectors, and life sciences discovery and manufacturing. It also assists companies in developing low-carbon strategies, and implement waste-to-wealth, sustainable energy, and waste-to-energy schemes.

In 2012 it became part of GP Strategies Corp, a global organisation delivering performance change to its customers through technical leadership, engineering projects and people development.

Commenting on NickNeal’s appointment, director at Lorien, Steve Turner, said: “We have grown staff numbers significantly in Process & Utilities over the last year or so. As we consolidate and establish two separate departments in response to that growth, we feel very confident in Nick’s knowledge and experience within the food and drink sector to lead our Utilities team and provide an excellent service to our customers.”
