Fire safety and building automation
28 June 2016
Swiss pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche has opted for fire safety and building automation from Siemens for its new buildings on the Kaiseraugst campus near Basel. The order is valued at more than €1.5m.

One of the new campus buildings is a reception building, which will house security offices, a café bar and a fitness centre. A second building will contain three auditoriums for a total of 650 people, and an underground parking garage.
The Siemens Building Technologies Division will equip the buildings with Sinteso fire detectors. In addition, Siemens has won the order for building automation technology, which will be implemented using the Desigo platform. This includes intelligent control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning in individual rooms (Total Room Automation), which creates comfortable environmental conditions for building occupants.
