Mid-Tech Air Products moves office to support Ingersoll Rand spares' business

The business supplies the full range of Ingersoll Rand genuine compressor spares, compressors, vacuum pumps and blowers including CompAir, Hydrovane, Champion, Gardner Denver, Elmo Rietschle, Robuschi and Reavell, and has been operating from its Willenhall head office since 2009, supported by its depot in Sheffield.

Following record growth last year and an expectation to exceed sales targets for a second consecutive year, Mid-Tech Air Products decided to move to larger, purpose-built offices in its current building at West Midlands House.

"In recent years, we've seen an influx of third-party or pirate spare parts into the UK market. For distributors and end-users, it can be tempting to opt for these non-genuine spares due to their cheaper initial cost," said director and general manager Chris Hall.

"However, the team at Mid-Tech Air Products has been working hard to educate the market on the importance of selecting OEM spares, which are designed specifically for the compressor installation to offer the life expectancy and energy performance required.

"As more customers insist on genuine spare parts, understanding the long-term benefits of maintaining productivity, uptime and operational efficiency, the team at Mid-Tech Air Products has seen a significant increase in orders.  As a result, we've opened our new offices to support our expanding business."

Single-source supply

As well as supplying the many Ingersoll Rand brands directly to compressed air and vacuum distributors and selected end users in the UK, Mid-Tech has recently become the sole distributor for Gardner Denver Positive Displacement blowers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The range is used for moving air in an extensive range of industrial applications and includes lobe and screw blowers including straight bi-lobe, straight tri-lobe and twisted tri-lobe, alongside helical screw blowers and full blower packages.

"Our Willenhall team has all worked together for more than 10 years and, alongside our vacuum and blower specialists at our Sheffield office, we have possibly one of the most experienced teams in the UK," stated Honor Jeffery, director and office manager at Mid-Tech Air Products.

"Our Willenhall office is led by myself as Office Manager, and our Sheffield office is led by Megan Higgins and Sarah Morgans.  This vast knowledge means that we understand the importance of reacting quickly to customer demands, particularly where compressor downtime could be a potential issue. 

"The majority of our genuine spare parts and compressor oils are available for quick delivery across the UK, and we also have access to the full library of Ingersoll Rand and its owned brands’ service manuals and parts books , to help assist end-users during installation."
