Parker introduces Cryogenic Proportional Relief Valves for efficient boil-off gas management
26 January 2026
THE INSTRUMENTATION Products Division Europe (IPDE) of Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, announces the launch of its Cryogenic Proportional Relief Valves, designed to safeguard hydrogen storage tanks and other group 1 gas systems, including cryogenic setups, while enhancing operational efficiency.

The valves provide protection from overpressure events through a gradual pressure release mechanism, effectively managing boil-off gas and supporting uninterrupted operations. This reduces media loss and offers substantial cost savings over time.
Featuring Parker’s advanced balanced bellow design, the valves maintain consistent performance even with fluctuating back pressures. The reliable stem sealing technology enables “snag-free” cracking and smooth re-seating for maximum efficiency, enhancing overall productivity and safety.
Each valve is factory-set with an accuracy of ±3% for reliable operation within set pressure limits. The valves are PED-approved and are available with fully integrated Parker’s A-LOK and CPI inlet and outlet tube connections, facilitating quick installation and leak-free operation. Additionally, mounting holes for brackets offer convenient and flexible installation options.
"Our Cryogenic Proportional Relief Valves are engineered to deliver maximum value to our customers," said Jacob Hawkins, innovation manager at Parker IPDE. "In an industry where safety and reliability are critical, our valves ensure consistent operation and peace of mind, enhancing our customers’ operational efficiency."
This latest innovation reaffirms Parker Hannifin's commitment to delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions for the clean technology industry, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
