Interroll expands performance range of its synchronous drum motors

With the new drive, which meets the highest hygiene requirements, dynamic and automated material flow solutions can be implemented very economically to transport an even more comprehensive range of goods via a single conveyor system.

The new DM 0138 synchronous drum motor extends Interroll's proven range of high-performance synchronous motors upwards to open up new applications for customers and users, particularly in highly dynamic logistics centres and in the food industry. Like the existing DM 0080 and DM 0113 series, the new DM 0138 offers maximum acceleration and braking performance with very low energy consumption and the ability to precisely position conveyed goods on a system without the use of additional sensors, greatly simplifying the integration of packaging and other processing machines into an automated flow of goods, for example. The new synchronous motor with a diameter of 138mm and an output of 1.8kW also impresses with its very compact design. Interroll comments that comparable outputs could previously only be achieved with conventional asynchronous motors with a diameter of 165mm.

Compact drive meets highest requirements for hygiene and automation projects

The new DM 0138 synchronous motor is also available as an oil-free version. Like all drum motors from Interroll, the construction and design of the fully enclosed drive comply with the guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG). In addition, to meet even the most stringent requirements, only materials certified according to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) specifications and European Union (EU) Regulation EC 1935/2004 are used.
