Tennant UK raise over £10,000 for MNDA
03 August 2022
IN MARCH 2021, Tennant UK launched the Walk for Webby campaign to raise £10,000 for the Motor Neurone disease Association in support of their colleague Kevin Webb who was diagnosed with MND in February 2021.

Not simply a fundraising exercise, the Walk for Webby campaign also had the aim to collectively complete a distance of 24,901 miles (equal to the circumference of the Earth) through a range of activities including walking, running and cycling.
Since the campaign began members of Tennant UK have been clocking their miles on personal runs, as well as organising community events where family members and friends of Kevin could also come and participate.
Jon Collett, Tennant MHE account manager, organised a live charity event at Moulton College Sports Hall in Northampton on 4 December 2021 at which people spend the day completing as many laps as they could of the venues 400 meter running track.
Nikki Lucas, credit controller for Tennant UK, and Karen Manners, contract renewal officer, walked a marathon 26.2 miles together, raising over £400 for the charity.
Gavin Pratt, a close personal friend of Kevin’s, recently completed a 1,178 mile bike ride (and additional 23 mile hike) from John O’Groats to Lands End which pushed both the distance achieved and funds raised over the target number.
"I am overwhelmed by the support and generosity everyone has shows since we started the Walk for Webby Campaign and I’m so proud of how much money we have raised for such a great charity," said Kevin. As of 24 June the distance achieved was 25,990 miles, and funds raised were £10,839.
Kevin, who had worked for Tennant for 35 years, has now left the company to spend time at home with his wife and son.
