Bell Building Projects hired
boom and scissor lifts from
AFI-Uplift to work on a new
cold store in Scotland. The
Snorkel AB60J and a JLG
450AJ boom lift, together
with a Skyjack SJ8831D
scissor, gave the height and
accessibility to install cladding
panels and paint the exterior
of the 8125m3 cold store
being built for Tradimar UK
at Bellshill, near Glasgow.
Jim Stewart, Bell Building Projects' site manager, said: "AFI carried out a site survey at the cold store to ensure that we were supplied with the right machines to meet our needs. The boom lifts had articulating jibs which made it easy to move around obstacles to reach elevated positions and the scissor lift had a roll out deck extension to provide further working room for the operatives installing the cladding."
