Ultrasonic welding offers a fast, clean
and controllable solution to many
joining applications on medical
device components.
Telsonic 's Soniqtwist, for example, is a torsional welding technique that enables the micron thin seals and membranes, often found on medical device components, to be welded using ultrasonics, without damage or perforation. This technique, also appropriate for a diverse range of intricate and thin section components will be demonstrated at the show.
Telsonic Cut'n'Seal technology and samples produced using the system will also be on display.
Ultrasonic energy is used to cut or punch out thermoplastic and synthetic type materials, while at the same time sealing the edges and if required, joining a component to a secondary item.
