Flotronic Pumps has set its sights
firmly on the low-end aggressive
chemical duty range market with the
launch of its new 'Minichem' pump.
Leighton Jones, director of technical sales and service, says: "The Minichem is a totally new pump which, though based on our existing 'one-nut' air operated double diaphragm pump design, is machined from one solid block of PTFE, removing the need for an outer steel or carbon casing and for separate manifolds." Able to transfer aggressive chemicals and other hazardous materials at low 50 and 100L flow rates through 1/2 and 1in connections, the absence of separate manifolds means the Minichem has no manifold seals and therefore no obvious leak paths.
Jones continues: "Minichem maintenance need only focus on 'One-Nut' disassembly and on the ball valves only when necessary."
