A packaged pumping system from NOV Mono has been specified by United Utilities to enhance process efficiency at its Acton Bridge pumping station following an increase in capacity at the site.

United Utilities needed a solution which could handle the increase in capacity and the full pressure of the rising main, and which would allow the pumps to be dismantled and maintained in a restricted space.

Ian Warburton, field service engineer, says: "By combining two maintain-in-place NOV Mono EZstrip progressing cavity pumps with two high performance macerators, NOV Mono provided us with the ideal solution." The progressing cavity pump is an extension of the company's Compact C Range. It is designed to provide a quick, easy way to disassemble, de-rag and maintain a PC pump in-situ.
