Now available from Metrology Direct
is Opticline C302, an optical noncontact
 shaft measuring system,made
by Hommel-Etamic and sold in the
UK and Ireland by Metrology Direct.

The company says the speed, accuracy and flexibility of the Opticline C302 will save time and money by passing off components quickly, minimising machine tool downtime. The bench-top system is designed for high accuracy, noncontact measurement in the production environments of small machined components.
A high-resolution sensor allows the components' contours to be precisely recorded. It can measure normal dimensions as well as a range of geometric tolerances including roundness, run-out and concentricity.
Continual automatic verification of calibration status is said to ensure fail-safe operation.
