EcoCooling evaporative cooling
provides an energy efficient and low
carbon alternative to air
conditioning for the comfort cooling
of buildings. The company says that
EcoCoolers can save up to 90% on
energy costs compared to some
traditional refrigeration-based
systems. One EcoCooler can provide
a 35kW load from just 1.5kW of
power at a cost of under 12p/h
covering an area of up to 250m2 or a
15m diameter circle.
Units can be used for the blanket cooling of a building or for spot cooling of workstations and production lines. In many cases existing ventilation systems or smoke vents can be used to provide a simple, safe and low cost solution.
Designed specifically for the UK market, EcoCoolers employ advanced control systems. Integral thermostatic controls allow temperature tolerances approaching ±2° Celsius to be achieved. The control system, which can easily be linked to existing BMS systems, includes humidity control and automatic control of extract fans to provide balanced ventilation as well as comprehensive fault reporting
