AddisonMckee has been
commissioned, under its
'Eagle' brand name, to supply
entirely new and rebuilt
equipment to one of the
world's largest exhaust
manufacturers for use at its
North Carolina facility.
The order represents the latest fruits of the company's 2009 incorporation of the Eagle team with its expertise in the field of muffler assembly design. The equipment is to be used in its new BMW platform and will also be used in the production of exhaust systems for Volkswagen's new facility in the USA.
In all, AddisonMckee will be supplying four pieces of equipment, including a rebuilt asymmetrical lockseamer, a rebuilt flanger, baffle stuffing machine and rebuilt vertical spinner. The size of the muffler and the quality standards of the project provide their own special challenges.
Harnessing technologies, including advanced weld-free production, AddisonMckee can automate entire motorcycle, car and truck muffler manufacturing processes, delivering precise acoustics and a high degree of system integrity. With machine capabilities for muffler shells to 600mm in diameter, the company can deliver on any shape or size of muffler requirement.
AddisonMckee offers tooling solutions to ensure its muffler assembly machinery continues to perform effectively. Training programmes are offered for all of the company's production disciplines.
