Cargotec has won a contract to
supply 12 Kalmar DCG150-12
forklift trucks to ArcelorMittal
Hamburg, its largest ever order
for the new DCG models.
ArcelorMittal will take delivery of the new models in February 2013; they will be used at its Hamburg facility which manufactures steel coils. The forklifts which replace existing Kalmar DCE90-180 models, will be responsible for a range of tasks including the unloading and transportation of steel coils. Each will be fitted with double coil ram attachments enabling them to handle two steel coils at one time.
The company traditionally updates its forklift fleet every three years and Cargotec has retained the contract for the last five cycles by giving excellent service and support, continual improvement of the product and through high uptime figures for existing equipment.
