To meet rapid expansion in container and industrial handling tasks at its Puerto Cabello and La Guaira sites, Venezuela’s governmentowned port operator Bolivariana de Puertos SA (Bolipuertos), has awarded a large contract for port equipment to Kalmar.

Scheduled for delivery from May 2013, the Bolipuertos contract includes 30 Kalmar reach stackers, four empty container handlers, eight heavy forklifts, nine light forklifts, seven heavy terminal tractors, 41 medium terminal tractors and one zeroemission rubber-tyred gantry crane.
