Atex approved air motors

Gast Group has supplied its Atex approved Air Motors to Filtersafe, a specialist in the design and manufacture of self-cleaning mechanical seawater filters for applications in ballast water treatment including systems for explosive areas of gas tankers. The Gast air motors are only used in areas where there is a potential for explosion.
The pneumatic motors are used to operate the cleaning system for the screens in Filtersafe Atex approved filters, whether they are single-screen or multi-screen units. Every screen has its own motor, which rotates a dragline that scans the screen from the inside in a spiral motion.
Gast Group’s compact, lightweight air and gear motors are known for their rugged construction and reliability and are used for a variety of industrial and manufacturing applications.
