Efficiency pumped up

12 August 2014

A UK supplier of dipping plant and ancillary equipment to the world’s latex, nitrile and PVC industries has underlined its confidence in NOV Mono by ordering four of the company's Epsilon high pressure progressing cavity pumps.

The pumps have been fitted to balloon-making equipment made by Greenbrook Automations of Chesterfield, and have helped to transform the company’s reputation with its customers; previously another brand of pump had been used, but customers complained about the number of failures.

Pumps for the balloon-making equipment have to handle highly abrasive, fine powder slurry, made of ground-up sedimentary rock known as Diatomaceous earth.

Robin Gronbach, MD, says: "We have been 100% happy with the Mono pumps, and the difference they made was immediately noticeable. We’ve had no failures at all. We supplied the Mono-equipped balloon making equipment to a customer in Peru and they’ve reported that it has helped speed their production process.”

The Epsilon pumps are designed to deliver excellent performance, low whole-life costs and reduced spares requirements. Gentle pumping action and low running speeds are suitable for highly abrasive applications, and the pumps can be installed vertically or horizontally. They feature a compact bloc construction, Mono's Flexishaft drive shaft connection, which eliminates wearing components, and a 10-year warranty.
