Efficiency up; bills down

An Atlas Copco premier distributor, Pennine Pneumatic Services (PPS) has a team of technical experts trained to help companies save money.

Plasmor, manufacturer of concrete building products, has benefited from PPS’s expertise in energy-efficient air compressors. By replacing its old machinery with new Atlas Copco Variable Speed Drive compressors and conducting audits at multiple sites, PPS showed Plasmor that the VSD+ machines were more powerful and reliable, had a smaller footprint, were quieter and cost less to run than Plasmor’s old compressors.
James Marshall, production director at Plasmor Group, says: "The on-going audits throughout all our sites, and replacement of the old machines, are not only financial incentives, but key factors in achieving objectives as part of our environmental commitments through ISO 14001.”
