Gill Sensors & Controls launch a new range of innovative Condition Monitoring Sensors.

05 March 2015

Gill Sensors & Controls Limited will be demonstrating their new GScondition monitoring sensor range at Maintec 2015 on stand M15H.

Gill, who are known for their quality and reliability in hostile operating environments including process machinery, construction equipment and heavy duty vehicles, will unveil the new sensor family which has been developed to assist in reducing expensive unplanned breakdowns in industrial machinery applications.

These innovative sensors capture and retain ferrous wear and failure particles, detect water in oil contamination and oil presence in one, compact unit. Combining four of the most common forms of gearbox and transmission failure in one sensor provides a low cost of ownership and a persuasive return-on-investment equation.

With continuous real-time monitoring the sensors provide early indication of potential problems, without the specialised knowledge and time delays of off-site analysis. Available with either 0-10V, 4-20mA or CAN outputs, along with a local alarm option, the Sensors are designed to suit most data collection devices such as Dataloggers, PLC’s, ECU’s as well as providing a local visual display where desired. The sensor features a simple metric thread with an O-ring seal for direct fitting into a gearbox or transmission housing.

Condition monitoring can provide a valuable tool in informing planned maintenance and repair, helping minimise costly unplanned breakdowns and downtime. The new GScondition sensors from Gill prove a useful ally in increasing machine availability and reducing costs.
