Faster deburring
26 April 2016
Engineering Utilities won a contract to supply CE Turner in Leicestershire with a Loewer DiscMaster 4TD-1500 Deburring & Edge Rounding machine, which was sourced from Germany by the Engineering Utilities team.

Installation of the new machine has resulted in a much quicker turnaround in the deburring process, which was previously conducted by hand, and has allowed the CE Turner team to focus its efforts on other areas of the business, as well as saving valuable man hours and associated costs.
Andy Jesson, manufacturing manager at CE Turner, said: “We couldn’t be more impressed with the Loewer machine that Engineering Utilities sourced for us – not only have we seen a marked increase in the number of jobs we can service each day, the machine has enabled us to standardise the deburring process to provide an elevated level of consistency and quality to our clients.
“We’ve dealt with Engineering Utilities for a number of years, so we knew the equipment the team recommended would be top-notch and we haven’t been disappointed. The Loewer machine has offered great value-for-money so far, with the consumables used within the machine lasting a lot longer than anticipated.”
As well as delivering deburring, edge rounding and surface finishing processes in one compact machine, Loewer machines are said to be energy efficient and to save valuable factory floor space.
Nigel Soulsby, director at Engineering Utilities, commented: “We pride ourselves on delivering the most advanced products available, as well as providing an excellent service. We have a long-standing relationship with CE Turner and have worked on numerous projects over the years to help solve its metal finishing problems."
