Descaling pump for industrial heating and cooling equipment

The C210 is designed to increase safety by keeping descaling chemicals enclosed at all times within the tank, hoses or equipment being descaled, thus minimising fumes, splashes and consequent risks to operators.

The device has a 125L tank with integral vertically mounted, acid-resitant pump, and comes complete with flow and return hoses and a flow reversal device for fast descaling. Flow and return hoses have 1in BSP threaded couplings for easy connection to the plant being cleaned.

Flow rate is to 170L/min, and this high circulation rate is coupled with a 24m head. Regular use of the flow reverser ensures vigorous and turbulent movement of descaling solutions to sweep away reaction by-products and enable fresh solution to reach heat transfer surfaces.

It is suitable for cleaning calorifiers to remove scale and debris, which otherwise reduce efficiency and screen legionella and other bacteria from the effect of biocide treatments. Other applications include acid washing package boilers and descaling large plate and tubed heat exchangers without the need for dismantling.

The C210 will also handle biocides and chlorine solutions, and so can be used for sterilisation of pipework and water supply systems. Although capable of handling large descaling jobs, the C210 weighs just 29kg (without hoses), and the integral wheels and handle mean that it can be easily transported by one person.
