Built-in speed sensor
12 August 2016
The new Type 4503B torque sensor from Kistler Instruments has a wide measurement range of 0.2 to 5000Nm, precision rotational speed/angle measurement and a high speed version of up to 50,000 rpm. Magnetic speed and angle measurement capability makes the new sensor safe and robust enough for use in contaminated industrial environments.

For highly dynamic measurements, the Type 4503B has a cut-off frequency of 10 kHz that may be user customized by an integrated digital low-pass filter and the second measurement range can be flexibly scaled up to a spread of 1:10.
Reported to offer the greatest possible dynamics and accuracy combined with fully digital signal transmission which delivers a standard accuracy of 0.05 percent, the torque sensor provides reliable measurement results and a solution that is tailored to each application. Being compatible with previous versions, the new torque sensor can be integrated into existing systems with minimal effort.
