2017 composites industry awards
07 June 2017
Composites UK has announced that the application process for the 2017 composites industry awards is now open.
The trade association is looking for new composites innovations (in design, materials and manufacture), exceptional systems, companies and personnel to submit an application for the awards.
The deadline for entries is 31st July 2017, with a shortlist announced in September and the winners revealed at the Industry Awards Dinner on 1st November, at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham
Claire Whysall, communications manager for Composites UK said; “We’ve seen the participation in the industry awards grow over the last few years. This is not only due to the immense support the event has received from organisations such as the coinciding Advanced Engineering Show and Composites in Manufacturing Magazine, but also because the UK composites supply chain is among the best in the world and has a lot to shout about.
“The awards dinner is a black-tie event attracting 300 people from OEMs/Tier1 organisations as well as SMEs, all supporting their peers and their industry in a formal yet celebratory atmosphere”.
Application forms are available to download from the Composites UK website. Companies/individuals can nominate themselves or someone else. There is no charge to enter however those shortlisted are expected to attend the Awards Dinner where the winner will be revealed.
Previous winners include Airbus, Broadwater Mouldings, Dura Composites, ELG Carbon Fibre, Far-UK, GKN, JETCAM, Metrology Software Products, MPM, Morgan Composites and Defence, Plataine, Safran Nacelles, Scott Bader, Sicut Enterprises, Revaluetech, Techlan, Teledyne CML Composites, Trelleborg AEM and Zircotec.
Bookings for full tables or single seats are available at member and non-member rates. Sponsorship is also available for companies wishing to join Axillium and the National Composites Centre in boosting their visibility at the event.
