European launch
08 June 2017
Combilift launched its new Combi-MR model into the European market at the Ligna timber trade show in Hannover.

This stand-on multidirectional reach truck (a sit-down option is also available) is said to offer extreme manoeuvrability in confined areas, enabling operation in reduced aisle widths for increased storage capacity. With a lift capacity of 2,300kg, it comes with optional lift heights of up to 5552mm.
The Combi-MR combines the capabilities of a reach truck with the versatility of multidirectional travel for operation in tight spaces and is characterised by its unique steering function. The joystick enables seamless switching of the direction of travel and allows the operator to perform compact turns. With the ability to handle both palletised and longer loads, it will enable manufacturing distribution and logistics operations to benefit from faster procedures.

The benefits of AC electric technology in the drive and steering ensure efficient performance and a high level of ergonomic comfort and safety for the operator: the positioning of the large drive wheel to the rear right corner enables low level entry and exit and is therefore less tiring for the operator when a lot of picking is involved. The single drive wheel is fitted with a large 16” rubber tyre and features 360° steering rotation. The rear articulated axle provides maximum traction and a smooth ride for the operator even across uneven surfaces, inside and out.
“We originally developed this model following demand from the US market and having seen the very positive reaction to it there we believe it will become equally popular in Europe, which is why we chose the Ligna show as the perfect platform to introduce this to a wider audience on this side of the Atlantic,” said Combilift MD Martin McVicar.
