Irish manufacturer wins Investment of the Year award

16 December 2021

LEADING IRISH health, wellbeing and cosmetics manufacturer,  Lynoslife, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Investment of the Year – Manufacturing Facility’ category at the Irish Private Label & Contract Manufacturer Awards 2021.

The Irish Private Label & Contract Manufacturer Awards recognise best-in-class manufacturers operating in Ireland today and projects that resulted in expansion to improve production facilities. Over the past two years, Lynoslife has invested in both its Cork and Mayo sites, increasing manufacturing capacity, installing state-of-the-art equipment, and modernising facilities, accelerated by the demands of the global life science, beauty, and personal care markets.

The win was attributed to the development of a new manufacturing hall in Mayo, a new filling line in Cork to facilitate increased production, an upgrade of the electrical equipment at its Mayo site and the introduction of new equipment in both sites. By the end of 2021 the company will also have invested a total of €1.5m over 18 months into both sites, further increasing adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice and enhancing output capacity, commercial marketing, and ecommerce capabilities.

Speaking on the announcement of the win, Lynoslife CEO Aiden Corcoran said: “One of our core objectives over the last two years has been to develop and enhance the infrastructure, processes and capacity across our Cork and Mayo sites, enabling the large-scale manufacture of a diverse range of quality products and allowing us to scale rapidly to meet client requirements. We have achieved that by strategic investment across supply chain, operations, scientific analysis, finance, and formulations. It is an honour for all of us here at Lynoslife to have been recognised as the Investment of the Year by the Irish Private Label & Contract Manufacturer Award.”

In November 2020, Lynoslife rebranded from Cosmetic Creations. In direct response to the growing Irish demand for hand sanitiser, the company launched its Irish-made personal protective range Airmedica in March 2020. The company has manufactured and delivered eight million units of personal protective products such as hand sanitiser in total to sectors including retail, hospitality, and healthcare to date. Shipping to more than 15 countries globally, clients include brand leaders as well as household private label brand names for the Irish, UK and European retail markets.
