Subcontract business, C J
Engineering, first invested in
a CNC/manual mill in 2000.
This was to be the first of several CNC machine tools supplied by XYZ Machine Tools and would have a significant impact on the company's future direction.
A recent investment is the XYZ ProTURN SLX 425 1.25m between centres CNC/ manual lathe installed in May 2010. This 7.5kW/25-2500 rev/min gap bed lathe has a 480mm swing over bed/ 700mm swing in gap and constant surface speed as standard.
Reflecting advances in microchip technology and the introduction of Microsoft Windows XP operating system, the latest ProtoTRAK SLX control is more intuitive to use, with 'plain English' prompts contributing to reduced set-up times in oneoff and low volume applications.
