XYZ Machine Tools' latest
innovation is the 15 hp/8000
rev/min LPM (Lean
Production Machine),
XYZ's first ProtoTRAK
CNC machine tool to
be fitted with an
automatic tool changer.
It is programmed easily using 'plain English' prompts.
Two of the four machines on show at Southern Manufacturing - a 7.5hp 50-4000 rev/min XYZ ProTURN SLX 355 CNC/manual lathe with a 360mm swing over bed and a 5hp programmable speed (40-5000 rev/ min) XYZ ProtoTRAK SMX 3500 CNC/manual bed mill with a 1372 x 356mm table - have this control system. There are no codes to learn and machine tools can be operated at any time under manual control.
There will be two full CNC models on the stand and an XYZ Compact Turn 52 turning centre.
