Underlining its commitment to
sustainable manufacturing, NOV
Mono has become the first
progressing cavity pump
manufacturer in the UK to be
awarded the Carbon Trust Standard
- for reducing its carbon emissions
by more than 21% over the past
three years at its manufacturing site
in Manchester.
The Carbon Trust Standard provides a robust, objective and consistent methodology for assessing corporate carbon reduction performance. It recognises organisations that have genuinely acted on climate change by measuring, managing and reducing their carbon emissions, as well as committing to reducing them year on year.
Mono was awarded the certification for meeting the energy management and greenhouse gas reduction objectives of the Carbon Trust Standard, and for its implementation of a Carbon Policy, which outlines targets to reduce its carbon footprint by 20% between 2008 and 2011.
