Yorkshire-based specialist painting contractor Bagnalls hired three boom lifts from AFI for help with painting 80m of the Meadowhall Interchange Footbridge in Sheffield.

The Upright SB85J and Genie S125 straight booms have outreaches of 23.4 and 24.4m respectively, and working heights of 28 and 40.10m. AFI also supplied a JLG 450AJ articulating boom, which has a working height of 15.72m.

Bagnalls Richard Britten said: "Using AFI machines contractors were able to complete the contract in just over three weeks. The machine gave the required outreach to span the River Don from each side and provided enough working height to access the bridge's tower and suspension lines safely."
