Access for bridge Contractors
30 May 2013
As part of the expansion of the Nottingham Express Transit tramline system in the Midlands , Cleveland Bridge UK hired seven AFI boom lifts to enable them to access the extensive site of a major bridge construction project.

To overcome the problem of accessing part of the site over a flood relief channel, Cleveland Bridge has hired a JLG 800AJ boom, which has a horizontal outreach of 15.74m and a platform height of 24.38m.
Ronnie Long, Cleveland Bridge UK project manager, said: "We have also hired five Haulotte HA16PX boom lifts from AFI because they have very good manoeuvrability and provide sufficient reach for us to work on the bridge structures.”
